Now Ford has revealed that the 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 will be the most powerful and capable H-D F-150 edition ever. The pick-up truck will come with a new standard 6.2 litre V8 engine and “plenty of technology upgrades”.

“The new 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 perfectly blends the flexibility and capability of F-Series trucks with the free spirit of Harley-Davidson motorcycles,” stated Eric Kuehn, chief engineer. “Both companies have a passion for the road, which shines through in our specialized truck.”
The 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 features bold front fascia as well as a six bar-shaped billet-styled satin chrome grille. It comes with Harley-Davidson satin chrome badging. A standard, fully integrated deployable running board gives it a lower look. The truck’s 6.2 litre V8 engine delivers 411 horsepower and 434 lbs-ft. of torque with a towing capacity of 9,300 pounds.
“This engine has tons of torque and already has been proven in the field with both the F-150 SVT Raptor and Super Duty,” Mike Harrison, V8 engine program manager, explained. “The exhaust for the Ford Harley-Davidson edition has been specially tuned to feature a throaty V8 rumble customers will love.”
Other items which come standard on the 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 include 22 inch Euroflange forged wheels with a polished centre wheel cap and low profile performance tires. The paintwork that goes on the pick-up is classic Harley-Davidson – Tuxedo Black and Ingot Silver, while there are new graphics boldly presented on the hood and the body side.
“We take creation of the Ford Harley-Davidson trucks very seriously, but it’s also something we have a lot of fun with along the way,” Design Manager Brad Richards added. “We hope that comes through in each of the finished trucks. We ensure Ford Harley-Davidson trucks exude the same bold personality as the legendary motorcycles. We take two brands that are undeniably unique and forge a product that embodies the best qualities of both.”
The interior trim panels come in Tuxedo Black paint, while all interior chrome surfaces boast of a new satin finish. The pick-up’s premium leather-trimmed seats feature accent colour inserts and a unique cloisonné badge. Technology-wise, a 4.2 inch LCD screen comes standard, while the 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 comes equipped with a voice-activated Navigation System as standard. Other standard features include a power moonroof, a rear view camera, second-row heated seats, ambient lighting, and a remote start system.
